This budget Includes a recommended appropriation of $100.000 to enable the Department of Labor to provide leadership in establishing a cooperative FederalState program in the fiscal year 1955. I should therefore like to move. Mr. Chairman. for the insertion of $100.000 in the Labor Departments Bureau of Labor Standards budget for assisting the States and the many church and civic organizations interested in improving the working conditions of American migrant agricultural workers. In offering this amendment. I am fully cognizant of the statement made by the committee thatThere are many agencies of the Federal Government doing work in this field.
