The interAmerican cooperative service and the Food and Agriculture Organization have varied projects in operation. not only to Increase output from rich agricultural States but to aid immigrants in Parana and elsewhere. Other pyojects aim to spur mineral and resources development. health. welfare. and housing. cHLE SANTIAo.-In the first phase of an operational plan aimed to raise the countrys level of development area by area. the United States technical cooperation mission is collaborating with the Chilean Government in an area development center. It serves three provinces. centering on the important industrial and commercial city of Concepcion.
