Session #83 · 1953–55

Speech #830178268

I am afraid that reclamation in Western States has suffered gravely. and that this damage. in turn. may be reflected in our Nations economy. As a grievous wound affects ones general health. so does damage to beneficial reclamation efforts relate to the national well being. It is my sincere hope that the damage which I am fearful has resulted from this prolonged wrangling. will not be permanent and that we can push forward with vital reclamation development in the United States. It is to the best interest not only of my own State of Wyoming but of the entire country. that we exert our best efforts in this direction. Immigration and Naturalization Laws
