Speaker. we are constantly reminded of the close analogies between the totalitarians of the left. todays Communist aggressors on mankinds freedom. and the totalitarians of the right. of the Nazis and Fascists under Hitler and Mussolini. and the militarists under Hirohito. who were. happily for mankind. decisively defeated in World War II. This analogy is very clearly brought out by the speech of Chou Enlai. Communist Chinas Foreign Minister. pleading for Asia for the Asiatics. for that is exactly what was the basis for Japans conquest of so much of Asia and its creation of the slave area called the coprosperity sphere. What the Communists offer Asia is enslavement to replace the opportunity for freedom and wellbeing. This idea is splendidly developed in the appended editorial from the New York Times of April 30. 1954:
Identified stereotypes
Generalization about Asians seeking enslavement.
