It has been demonstrated time and again in the long. brilliant. and ofttimes tragic history of a great and good people. It is found not only in the struggles of Poland but in the struggles of freedomloving people everywhere. For in all of the battles that have been waged by mankind to throw off the yoke of oppression. brutality. and deceit. people of Polish descent have taken a leading role. It was love of liberty which brought so many Poles to these shores to enrich this Nation with their faith. character. and industry. In the arts. professions. agriculture. industry. Americans of Polish origin and immigrants from Poland have contributed to the greatness that is America. Mr. Speaker.
