It gives me pleasure to state that my first knowledge about Rumania and Rumanians in the United States came from my father. lately deceased. who was a close friend of Rumanians in the United States for over 50 years. I can well recall his feelC--174Ings about the Rumanian people who emigrated to the United States and settled in Cleveland. Ohio. He was warm in his praise of the way in which the .Rumanian newcomers adjusted in the United States. and their devotion to the principles of freedom. individual liberty. and justice which all Americans cherish.
