This paper has been identified by the House Committee on UnAmerican Activities and by the Territorial Committee on UnAmerican Activities as the voice of the Communist Party of Hawaii. These 10 public officials through these ads not only contributed moral support but financial support as well. Under the laws that have been passed by the United States Congress an alien in Hawaii who contributes money to the Communist Party through its press would automatically make himself liable to deportation and yet these aliens if brought before the Immigration Service under deportation warrants. they are in a position to point out that they are only doing the same things against our Government that 10 public officials in their country are doing. This certainly is prejudicial to the security efforts of our Federal agencies in Hawaii. Another matter I would like to call attention to is the increasingly sharp battle between the loyal Americans and Communist agents for control of the Democratic Party in Hawaii.
