He must be all things to all people. He is the one person who must have at least some knowledge of law. banking. international relations. Immigration. conservation. and interstate commerce. I have known several very fine young members who. having served 1 or 2 terms. found they could not afford to continue because they could not make enough money to educate theid children as they desired. As individuals. we have an opportunity to say thank you" to the many members who have helped us in the past (including those with whom we did not always agree) and to help see that we do not eventually perpetuate a Congress composed primarily of those "who can afford to serve." All it would take would be a post card to your Representative and Senator.
