The work of the committee appeared so voluminous to the senior Senator from North Dakota that. when he became chairman. he assigned various members of the committee as chairmen of subcommittees to expedite the work. with the result that we have the Senator from Indiana as chairman of the Internal Security Subcommittee. the Senator from Utah as chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization. the Senator from New Jersey as chairman of the Subcommittee To Study Juvenile Delinquency in the United States. the Senator from Idaho as chairman of the Subcommittee on Improvements in the Federal Criminal Code. the Senator from Nevada as chairman of the Subcommittee on Improvements in Judiciary Machinery. the Senator from Wisconsin as chairman of the Subcommittee on Patents.
