It is said that this Is a refugee bill but there is no refugee about this thing. even in this warmedover hash. It is a half refugee bill and half of it is to ease the overpopulated sections of Europe. a policy the Republican Party has always opposed. aided by the Southern Democrats. and you know it. Last year this House passed the McCarranWalter bill by a vote of 206 to 68. When it was vetoed by the President. it was passed over the Presidents veto by a vote of 278 to 11n.
