Americas great industrial might was being created. During this period. men came from Poland to help build it. Today. the American sons of those immigrants play a large part in the sustenance and growth of this industrial order so vast and so powerful that it is regarded as a fundamental source of Americas supremacy. The contributions of these Polish immigrants and their descendants are not limited to the industrial field alone. The sons and daughters of American Poles can be found in the professional groups. serving with great merit and distinction in law. politics. education. and medicine. The significance of Polands contribution is not fully realized. however. until we consider the contributions of Americans of Polish descent in World War II.
