Session #83 · 1953–55

Speech #830026049

As far as the question of whether or not the Committee on Agriculture would collaborate with the Committee on the Judiciary is concerned. the gentleman from Kansas would simply say that he has the greatest confidence in the gentleman from New York and other members of the Committee on the Judiciary and their ability to deal with these immigration problems. I do not think we have any business at all to deal with immigration problems in our committee. Of course. we do have this problem that deals with agriculture. and we are trying to take care of that. But I do not think the problems are related. as the gentlemen has indicated.
