I want to join with my good friend from Illinois in paying honor to the late Congressman L ADOLPH J. SABATH. who was a great American. a great patriot. I believe he had one of the most unusual lives I know of. He came over here as an immigrant boy. and in his life he personifled the virtues of perseverance and integrity. He was honored not only by his own people of Chicagobut those of the State of Illinois and the Nation. It was my honor to serve for many years with Mr. SABATH on the Committee on Rules. He was impartial. he was fair. and he was a fightera strong fighter.
