Allison is advocating no such thing. because that would be absurd. On behalf of the fishermen. the men who make a living by going to sea. we are asking only that they receive a small measure of the protection which is received by industries in the great State of New Jersey and other States of the Union. to protect their homes. their lives. and their jobs. I think it is a very shortsighted policy on the part of the State Department to take the position or even hint. that there is anything remotely comparable between this situation and the Exclusion Act. which this Nation has done away with.
