I am about to ask unanimous consent that this bill be indefinitely postponed. and I wish to explain briefly the reason why I shall make this request. Mr. President. the Immigration and Naturalization Service has advised the Committee on the Judiciary that the beneficiary of this bill has not lost her citizenship by voting in an election in Japan. The State Department has so ruled. The purpose of the bill. of course. was to restore the citizenship which. according to an earlier ruling. had been so lost.
