Furthermore. what this country needs is a great exchange of people. The purpose of this effort is to fortify the exchange program. I am surprised that the Senator from South Dakota. who has been one of the proponents of the exchange program. should feel that our American people should not have an opportunity to go to European countries and Asiatic areas to study the problems of those areas. I do not believe that any intelligent American citizen is going to be hoodwinked. I do not believe that any public relations man in the Mutual Security Agency is going to be able to pull the wool over the eyes of the country editors who left on Monday to go to Europe.
