Session #82 · 1951–53

Speech #820215247

Mr. President. I wish to associate myself with the remarks of my colleague with regard to the struggle in connection with the immigration bill. I want the RECORD to be perfectly clear. On several occasions the majority leader has pointed out that a good deal of time has been spent on the bill. but the time has been well spent. and it will have been well spent for the future welfare of our country. I have that feeling as we come to the conclusion of the consideration of the bill. after two initial votes. the vote on recommittal and the vote on the substitute.
