The category of nonquota immigrants also provides for orphans of naturalized American citizens and orphans of certain aliens. There is a large group of persons who may be classified under the designation of orphans. Provision Is also made for members of the Armed Forces of the United States There are other preference categories which I could mention. but I do not wish to take the time to do so. The final provision in our substitute is for the removal of sex discriminations. The present immigration law has certain discriminatory features in relationship to sex. There is no argument on this point. The McCarran bill has in it a provision similar to the one in our substitute bill.
