The Cominform states that the tasks of the Partisans of Peace include a campaign to secure refusal by the workers to produce weapons of death. a campaign among western European transport workers to induce them to refuse to handle American arms. agitation for the withdrawal of French troops in French Indochina. the replacement of the "present reactionary governments" in France and Italy in order that their parliaments will stop the arms race and annul the North Atlantic Pact. and so forth. American arms are being sent to Europe under the North Atlantic Pact. Among other things. this organization is in opposition to the governments of France and Italy. and is advocating the restoration of Communist rule. So. Mr. President. I very much hope that the State Department will not grant the visas which are requested. Many of the members of the delegation are inadmissible under the law and have no right to come to the United States. They are intending to come here to sow dissension.
