Session #81 · 1949–51

Speech #810159373

MARTIN GORSKI. To me. MARTIN GORSKIs life epitomizes the great and wonderful tradition that is peculiarly that of our great Nation. the poor immigrant boy who through only hard effort and hard work rose to represent in the halls of this Congress people from all walks of life. the rich as well as the poor. in his district in the city of Chicago. I came to know MARTIN GORSKI last year when I was elected to this great body. He was a quiet person. yet his genial personality. his kindness. his sympathy. the untold amount of time he took in listening to the problems of one who was confronted with a new way of life. endeared him very much to me.
