Mr. Arens. staff director of the standing Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization. was granted permission to discuss displacedpersons legislation. At the conclusion of this 1 hour and 15 minutes in which these various matters of business were discussed. the committee recessed. Obviously no very full consideration could have been given by the committee in the morning meeting of October 11 to displacedpersons legislation.
