Mr. President. this is a worthy cause. The committee has indicated that it would like to examine all the questions in relation to the German expellees. Greek refugees. Arab refugees. Pakistan refugees. and other refugees. That is fine. but the displaced persons in the camps and areas of Europe pose an immediate problem requiring expeditious solution. so far as the United Nations is concerned. The displacedpersons program of the United States is one of many programs instituted by various countries of the world to solve this particular problem. Displaced persons among the Greeks have a meritorious case. and I am sure the same can be said of the Arabs. the Pakistans. and the Chinese.
