I found that over 17 percent of the Members of Congressboth Senate and Househad one or more parents who migrated to America. That indicates that the immigrants produce men and women who are worthy of what America offers. Undoubtedly the same ratio of those who have become prominent in industry. education. science. and so forth. wou:d apply. I shall make a detailed report on my survey to the House so we may all know from what countries the parents of Members. who are the first generation of Americans. came from.
