Mr. President. last year the Senate passed a bill providing that the Attorney General could suspend the deportation of certain aliens in cases when their deportation would place in jeopardy the financial or economic interests of the United States. or of any one business. corporation. or person. However. we required that when the Attorney General does so. he shall submit to us. for affirmative action. the names of those as to Whom he has suspended deportation. Both concurrent resolutions contain the namesI think one has about 20 names and the other has about 15of the persons as to whom deportation has been suspended on those grounds. in carrying out the provisions of the law passed at the last session of Congress.
