Session #80 · 1947–49

Speech #800199653

Mr. Chairman. I again repeat. this bill should not be passed because this is not the proper way and I also say that the acts of the International Refugee Organization will not be legal because it has not been legally constituted. All this proves that the proposed legislation is faulty and should be defeated for that reason. and for the further reason that it does not solve the problems resulting from the establishment of the refugee camps. At the expense of repetition. let me say again that this is a relief problem which should be handled in the countries and cities where it is found. The United States has surely done her part.
