The committee was bound to take action on those bills because they were humanitarian bills. but nothing has been done about them. The only point I might criticize about this amendment that has been offered is the fact that you are going to take these soldiers out of the quotaout of the 200.000. That is the part of it that I do not like. The 200.000 should not be reduced by the immigration of these soldiers. These soldiers should be permitted to come in here outside of this quota of 200.000. In all justice. the doors of the United States should be open to men like that. regardless of the quota.
