This refers to the war years. The able Senator has talked about those who came in during the war. That number is much lower than the quota figures. 132.876. That number Is only 48.147 less than the quota immigrants who were admitted into the United States during the preceding 6 years. that Is. before 1940. In other words. there is not such a great difference between the number of those who were admitted during the 6 years prior to the beginning of the war and the number admitted during the war. I merely call that to the distinguished Senators attention.
