Let me make that clear: We have a quota for Europe of 150.000 persons a year. Last year we had. in addition to that. an actual immigration into the United States on a nonquota basis of 76.000 persons. Now it is desired to add. on top of that. another 100.000. or 50.000 displaced persons for each of the 2 years 1949 and 1950.
