Is it not a fact that these fianc~es will get their visas under my amendment. and the only thing I seek to accomplish is that they shall get these temporary visas so that the visa is conditioned upon their actually being married when they get here. In other words. that good faith is being carried out. not whether the fianc~es shall come in at all. I do not see how this can possibly be said to extend the German quota. on the contrary I am trying to protect us against its being improperly extended. I am for the bill. I do not object to it.
