I hope you continue to press for its passage. I thoroughly agree with the position taken by Mr. Crum in his telegram. Indeed. I believe that the ability of the United States of America to press for justice to the Jewish refugees of Europe and to oppressed peoples everywhere will be greatly increased if this proposal to bring about peaceful multilateral world trade is approved by this Congress. Mr. Chairman. it is because I am convinced that the establishment of a just and permanent world peace is the most important objective of the American people that I shall vote for the pending measure.
