This bill would abolish the following standing committees: The Committee on Military Affairs. the Committee on Naval Affairs. the Committee on Post Offices and Post Roads. the Committee on Commerce. the Committee on Interoceanic Canals. the Committee on Immigration. the Committee on Patents. the Committee on Mines and Mining. the Committee on Territories and Insular Affairs. the Committee on Irrigation and Reclamation. the Committee on Indian. Affairs. the Committee on Rules. the Committee to Audit and Control the Contingent Expenses of the Senate. the Committee on the Library. the Committee on Privileges and Elections. the Committee on Printing. the Committee on Claims. and the Committee on Manufactures. The work which is now being done by these regular standing committees would still have to be performed.
