The Poles fought and suffered for their independence. for their freedom. and for the common cause of the United Nations. They lost 6.000.000 people. killed on battlefields. murdered. or starved by the Germans. deported into Soviet camps and starved there. There are millions of orphans in Poland. The cities of Poland are destroyed and the majority of them were destroyed beyond reconstruction.
