I want to explain the bill and say just what it does. and then after I do that I think it will be in order that the Members have all the time that we can give them for the discussion of the bill. Under the terms ofthe bill it is extended for a period of 9 months after May 15. 1946. or until February 15. 1947. The bill includes. subject to registration and induction. all citizens of the United States and all naturalized aliens between the ages of 18 and 30. The original act as now in effect is 18 to 45. That is all the first section does.
