Some years ago the distinguished former Senator from Oregon. Mr. Charles McNary. raised his voice in the Senate of the United States for the purpose of preventing such a great injustice as is again being contemplated by the United States Department of Justice in regard to the deportation case of Walter Baer. I wish to have inserted in the RECORD certain material in connection with the case. at the present time. because it is a matter of great interest in the State of Oregon. Many members of the Oregon State Bar Association are concerned with it and have manifested to me. by letters and telegrams. their concern.
