Under present law veterans of other wars who were born outside the United States but are naturalized citizens may live in the country of their birth for 3 years without losing their citizenship. andif they live in a different country then they may live there 5 years without losing their citizenship. At the end of the 3year period or the 5year period they must state whether they still want to maintain their American citizenship. This applies to the veterans of all other wars. This bill simply makes that provision which is now the law apply to the veterans of this war.
