Mr. Speaker. the Jewish people have been denied too long the opportunity to immigrate to Palestine. where they have proved to the world that they can develop the resources of the land and establish a free and democratic nation. Since the surrender of Germany they have been left stranded by an arbitrary rule by England that the white paper must be left standing in spite of the fact that the war is over and won by the Allies. What greater proof of independence. industry. willingness to cooperate with all nations of the world is needed to convince the British that the Jewish people are entitled to free entry into Palestine. .
