They are willing to reverse our entire immigration policy for the hope of gain. They voted. for this very principle of immigration as late as 1940. but now they think they see a good business deal and the principle can be laid aside. The gentleman from New York . the author of the bill. and the gentleman from Illinois [Mr. DIRKSEN1. and my friend from Illinois and others urge that this bill ought to be passed because of the trade we would get out of it.
