He is .the president of the board of education of the town. He is a member of the War Food Board of the county. He is an important local individual. But he was an orphan Norwegian boy who came to America 20 or 25 years ago and made his own way. as many other immigrants have done. without help from anybody. and became the proprietor of this food store in the little town I have mentioned. He was visited by members of the OPA. After having made an examination of his store they told him that he had one of the best kept stores it had been their privilege to investigate.
