In view of that fact does not the Senator from West Virginia believe that right now we should put an end to immigration to this country. and not allow another single alien to set foot upon American soil until we take care of our own American citizens? lI.1r. REVERCOMB. I may say to the Senator that no one in this body has been more active against raising quotas of immigration than I have been.- The Senator knows that to be so. I want to protect the American people just as much as he does. and I personally want to protect the men who have been sent cut of this country to fight abroad so that when they come back they will not be placed upon a dole. but will be given an opportunity to earn a living.
