I simply desire to say a word with respect to S. 240. which I introduced more than a year ago. which would prohibit immigration from foreign countries so long as the unemployed in this country are in excess of 1.000.000. I introduced that bill at the request of the American Legion and in response to a resolution adopted at their convention somewhat over a year ago. I am glad it was brought to the attention of those who wrote the pamphlet. I think I will ask to have it brought up for action. and shall undertake seriously to press its passage.
