Land of Promise. points out that the unique combination of the natural features and resources of the Jordan Valley makes possible a huge reclamation project. capable of supporting at least 4.000.000 refugees in addition to the 2.000.000 Jews and Arabs already living there. There are more than 500.000 families in Palestine today who ask that they be permitted to take one or two or three refugees. no matter where they come from. to take care of them temporarily. until after the war.
