Speech #780148116

They also know of my athletic background and that. as a football official. my integrity at the high schools. colleges. and in the cities throughout this Nation where I have officiated has never been questioned. And I do not propose to change my course of living at this late stage of the game. I am an immigrant lad. but I love my country just as dearly as does the gentleman from Mississippi. I am a Jew and proud of my heritage. but nothing transcends my love for my country. the country that guarantees to all of us freedom of religion. to worship as we desire to meet the needs of our souls. freedom of the press. and freedom of speech. No individual or group in this country. including the gentleman from Mississippi. has any priorities on America or its priceless freedom.
