It is proposed to strike out all after the enacting clause and to insert in lieu thereof the following: That after the date of enactment of this act. and until the expiration of 1 year after the termination of the present war as proclaimed by the President. no immigration visa shall be issued to any Immigrant. SEc. 2. Terms defined in the Immigration Act of 1924 shall. when used in this act. have the meaning assigned to such terms in that act. It is proposed to amend the title so as to read: "An act to provide for the suspension of immigration of aliens into the United States during the present war. and for other purposes."
