I would say to the gentleman from Michigan that it developed in the course of the hearings that this private organization. to which I have heretofore referred. furnished to 0. W. I.. either directly or indirectly. a large part of its personnel from countries overseasmany of them refugees. I asked Mr. Davis for a list of those furnished. the positions to. which they were appointed. and the salaries which they were awarded. That list I received yesterday with a covering letter from Mr. Davis. The total number of persons on the list. I think. was somewhere between 250 and 300.
