Session #78 · 1943–45

Speech #780059247

If this will not permit the Negro to vote in the South. what will it do? I want to refer for a moment to the speech made by the gentlewoman from Ohio today. I attended a meeting of the Immigration and Naturalization Committee. of which I am a member. She came before that committee. She knows all about the desire of herself and others for flooding this country with immigrants from all sections of the world. I attended a session of my Committee on Indian Affairs this morning. and she was before that committee. She knows all about what should go on in the State of New Mexico.
