Reserving the right to object. Mr. Speaker. this is a measure that was on the calendar last year and succeeded in passing the House. My purpose in rising at this time is to call the attention of the House to the fact that there are on the calendar today some six or eight bills from the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization. all of which are amendatory of the Nationality Act of 1940. May I inquire of the members of the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization the reason it is necessary to have a bill each time a person conceives an idea of amending the Nationality Act. rather than having them all consolidated into one omnibus bill affecting the basic act of 1940?
