It is similar to a bill which was passed last year and to a bill which. as I recall. was passed the previous year. The extension of time expires on October 14 of this year. A great many of our naturalized citizens living in foreign countries have for a long time. as Senatofs know. been unable. because of the difficulties of travel. to come home. and they will be deprived of their American citizenship unless this proposal becomes a law by the 14th of October. It is a matter which has been considered by the Senate for the last 2 or 3 years. and I am certain that there is no controversy about it.
