I know that in one instance that was involved in the Senators remarks. but I do not agree with his statement of fact. Because he referred to throwing away money that goes for the benefit of the migratory workers of this ecuntry. I wish to say that. as a personal observer of the improvement in living conditions the Farm Security Administration has brought to the migrant workers who work in my State. I know of no agency of the Government that is doing. more good and is more deserving of support from the Congress than is the Farm Security Administration. If that work be called extravagance. it is to belittle the dignity of a human being living in a decent house and not being compelled to wash his clothes in the same stream in which the refuse from his body is carried away.
