The gentleman from Illinois . and the gentleman from Kansas [Mr. REE: I are probably the most distinguished authorities on immigration on our side of the House. I have raised the proposition here that I understand that it was the intention that this bill should apply only to nativeborn citizens or children of nativeborn citizens. and the gentleman from Massachusetts [Mr. CLASONI put his finger on exactly what I am afraid of. He thinks it goes further and applies to others. I think you should Insert language in this bill that will leave no doubt about what you mean. because there are enough other opportunities to raise problems with respect to this bill.
