Mr. Speaker. yesterday during consideration of the Private Calendar. the bill for the relief of Mrs. Cecilia Pitt. was objected to. This was an outstanding hardship case and called for sympathy and favorable action by the House. but it was objected to. A year ago the rusband of Mrs. Pitt committed suicide for fear he would be deported to Danzig. The Senate passed this bill unanimously. The House Committee on Immigration reported it favorably unanimously. and yet it was objected to here. Mr. Speaker. I ask unanimous consent that S. 1161 be restored to the Private Calendar. so that I may have a chance to explain this meritorious bill.
